Franco Corso’s Way…

Franco Corso and Donald Trump

Franco Corso with Donald Trump at Mar-A-Lago.

We recently caught up with Italian singing sensation, Franco Corso.  Corso, a native of San Remo, Italy, has been living in Palm Beach for the past ten years where he’s been wowing standing-room-only audiences with his show, “A Tribute to Andrea Bocelli and Friends.”

With a swagger in his step, and a twinkle in his eyes reminiscent of Dean Martin, he delivers, in a rich baritone voice, interpretations of classic favorites, such as “Volare,” “Quando, Quando, Quando,” “Come Back to Sorrento” and “O Sole Mio.”  While he performs, images of Italy are projected on a large screen alongside him as he sweetly serenades the audience with additional favorite Bocelli tunes, including the beloved, “Time to Say Goodbye.”

Each year, Corso returns to San Remo to perform for his hometown friends who now refer to him as, “The American.”  When asked the difference between American and Italian audiences, he responds with a humorous, and true, observation.

“In Italy they want to be American.  In America they want to be Italian.  When I’m in Italy, they want to hear the American songs.”

What does he like best about Italian South Florida? Corso loves Jupiter’s Feast of Littly Italy, where he has performed in recent years.  His favorite place to eat authentic Italian food?  Carmine’s in Palm Beach Gardens.

Keep an eye on Corso.  His star is rising fast.  Let’s hope we don’t lose the pleasure of claiming him as local as he ascends ever higher in the international performing arena.

I choose to see Franco for my birthday present this year from my best friend Nancy. He was incredible!!!!
I bought every video, Cd and anything else I could find about him. I can’t get enough of his voice.
My sixteen year old daughter Giana at first would complain that I listen to him so much But now
I notice she sings all the songs with me. LOL Anyway, Franco I hate the thought of knowing I
won’t be able to hear you until next year. Please, Please come to Rhode Island again soon?
